TOEFL is an international English language test that measures a student’s reading, writing, speaking and listening skills.
Alongside GMAT/GRE/SAT, TOEFL is a pre-requisite to get into most colleges in the US for Bachelor’s, Master’s, Ph.D. or MBA programs. The test is mostly taken in the Internet based (ibt) pattern. It comprises four sections: Reading, Listening,
Speaking and Writing (in this order) and the duration of the test is approximately 4 hours (including a 10 minute break).
Each section is scored on a range of 0 to 30 points, making 120 the composite score.
